Wunderman World Health Initiative Names Regional Lead and Formalizes its Asian Health Care Sector Commitment

Singapore, April 26, 2010—Stephane Faggianelli, president of Wunderman Asia, named Matt Connor as regional director of Wunderman World Health, the agency’s newly minted global health initiative which unifies its diverse health care resources under a single brand. Faggianelli said throughout Asia, Wunderman will be a key player in this global effort, with an immediate focus on Singapore, China and Korea.
As a network, Wunderman has extensive experience and a range of methodologies serving pharmaceutical and medical brands globally. Combining Wunderman’s health care expertise with strong local leadership in data, direct and digital marketing creates a powerful cross-channel offering to the growing health care marketplace.
In making the announcement, Faggianelli said “There is a clear need for brands to develop relationship marketing programs with health care providers, patients and care givers. Our strong local expertise in direct marketing, digital and data combined with our health care experience provide a unique and refreshing offering. Matt Connor brings a wealth of experience from the US and will be the catalyst to innovate in this category and build our teams across the region.”
Commenting on his appointment, which takes him from Washington¸ DC to Shanghai, Connor said “Asia is now the fastest emerging player in the health care category, moving toward greater patient-centric models and requiring on-going patient education and data engagements. I am thrilled to bring our expertise and methodologies to this part of the world. To date the market has been very receptive and we already won two assignments.”
Earlier this month, Wunderman launched Wunderman World Health and tapped Becky Chidester as its president to drive expansion around the world. The global initiative covers pharmaceuticals, health insurance, services and devices, OTCs and nutritionals, eye care and wellness.
