As global client lead for Nokia, Martin directs a team of more than 400 people in over 50 markets and oversees our digital production hubs through WPP’s Deliver. In just two years, Nokia has grown into one of the agency’s largest accounts. He is based in London.
Before heading the Nokia account, Martin was in Tokyo, where he was responsible for building from the ground up Wunderman International, a separate entity dedicated to support Wunderman’s Microsoft business. The business grew to nearly $10 million in just a few years.
Prior to joining Wunderman in 2006, Martin was with OgilvyOne, where he was the general manager of OgilvyOne Tokyo and managing partner of Interactive. While there, he led the American Express team for the Ogilvy Group, including development of advertising, direct and interactive programs. He also developed the Unilever Multibrand RM program. He was responsible for growth and development of digital services, partnerships and client satisfaction.
Martin also spent seven years at AGENCY.COM, an interactive agency now part of the Omnicom Group. He was vice president of Client Services in New York leading the Compaq and Verizon accounts. He then moved to Colorado to become regional president of the 90-person office, developing and managing interactive solutions for GM and Sprint.
Martin started in advertising at Raboy Stoner and was an English teacher in New York City.
