An expert communicator with a balance of corporate and agency experience, Nancy Maffucci leads Wunderman’s global communications team. She believes communications is instinct, but in the right measure, genius.
Nancy’s primary focus is ensuring all agency stakeholders—clients, prospects and employees—receive consistent, actionable communications about Wunderman’s strategic imperatives, including the agency’s online presence and public relations. In addition, Nancy is responsible for Wunderman’s active involvement at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, the annual Wunderman Global Creative Meeting and an internal awards program developed in recognition of Lester Wunderman, which was recognized in 2012 with PRSA’s Big Apple Award.
Before coming to Wunderman in 2002, Nancy was vice president at MasterCard International, responsible for Corporate Communications. She also headed consumer-marketing groups at major PR agencies including Burson-Marsteller, Cohn & Wolfe, Manning Selvage & Lee and Magnet Communications (now part of Euro).
She served as the team leader of large global clients, including General Motors (The GM Card - Silver Anvil Winner), Heinz (Green Ketchup launch), Colgate-Palmolive, Hasbro (4-time Toy Fair veteran) and was senior PR counselor to Oxford Health Plans and Sterling Health, among others.
In 2013, Nancy was appointed to the board of directors of Dancing Dreams, a charity that helps physically-challenged children dance. She started her career as a trade journalist. She spends her free time reading nonfiction, cooking, traveling and relaxing in New Mexico.
