Faggianelli
President, Asia-Pacific Wunderman
download bio pdf & photo(s)Stephane Faggianelli leads Wunderman’s operation across the Asia-Pacific region, one of the most diverse areas of the world. With expertise in IT, services and automotive, this native of French Corsica who now makes his home in Hong Kong is one of the most experienced relationship marketing leaders throughout Asia.
Since joining in 2006, Stephane reshaped Wunderman’s presence throughout Asia by infusing it with data, digital and creative talent and bolstering the agency’s ability to serve global clients locally, especially in Japan, Korea, India and China.
He was a key player in forming Wunderman International in Japan to serve the Microsoft account in 2007 and soon modeled Team Microsoft India after it. In Korea, he created a robust office in Seoul through the acquisition of two local market agencies. In 2008, to reinforce digital capabilities in the expanding Greater China markets, Stephane was integral to the acquisition of AGENDA, which dramatically expanded Wunderman’s Asian footprint in Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Taiwan and Kuala Lumpur. Australia and New Zealand were added to his regional responsibility two years later, a move that better enables the agency to service shared global clients.
Under Stephane’s leadership, the Asia-Pacific region has grown into a microcosm of the Wunderman value proposition. Its strong foundation is rooted in four key accounts (Microsoft, Nokia, Ford and Colgate) which draw on the digital and analytics power of partner companies KBM Group and ZAAZ. Balancing global business with local accounts is equally important. AGENDA’s wins of Disneyland, Gap and Pepsi in local Asian markets, and significant healthcare business from Baxter, Pfizer, Guthy Renker and Sanofi across Japan, South Korea and China demonstrate the agency’s growing strength and diversity.
Before Wunderman, Stephane spent 10 years with Tequila where he created their subsidiary in Japan for clients such as Nissan, Adidas and Japan Tobacco. He also served as international client director of IBM EMEA and Renault in Europe.
Stephane is no stranger to Wunderman. He started his career with Wunderman France two decades ago.
